Battle Ground by Jim Butcher

Book 17 in the Dresden Files series by Jim Butcher, Battle Ground is a continuation of Book 16 Peace Talks. It sees Harry Dresden who has faced terrible odds before, needing to protect Chicago from a Titan which has declared war on mankind and is destroying anyone who stands in her way, including the supernatural beings which prefer to stay in the shadows and not interfere with the mortal world.

Harry’s mission is simple but impossible: save the city by killing a Titan. The attempt will change Harry’s life, Chicago, and the mortal world forever.
This is a fantastic roller coaster of a ride, with some huge shocks for any Dresden book fans, which left me wanting more, and awaiting what the future will bring to the Dresden Series world.

While you don’t need to read all the books in the series before reading this novel (although I would strongly recommend them), I would highly recommend you at least read book 16 Peace Talks as this book starts directly were that story left off.

Battle Ground is a great book, maybe not the best book for a novice to get into this series, but a must for all Dresden Files fans.
