The City of Greater Dandenong is bringing more holiday cheer to the Springvale Community Hub this month by hosting two free, outdoor Christmas movie screenings - A Christmas Carol on Wednesday 15 December and Polar Express on Monday 20 December.
Moviegoers can arrive from 5.30pm to secure their spot for a 6pm start.
Some deck chairs will be available, however patrons are encouraged to bring along their own picnic rug or low chair to enjoy the show in comfort.
The Hub’s café will be open for drinks and light meals, a picnic or takeaway food from local Springvale eateries are also welcome.
Mayor Cr Jim Memeti said he is thrilled to welcome back families and friends to the Springvale Community Hub to enjoy magical Christmas movies outdoors.
“The outdoor movie screenings provide a great opportunity to enjoy our green open spaces with family and friends while also supporting our local traders by bringing along meals and snacks from surrounding businesses in Springvale,” the Mayor said.
Bookings are not required for these events, but patrons will need to scan in via a QR code upon arrival.
