Carols in Dandenong Park

Dandenong Carols is returning for the 75th year, this time in Dandenong Park.

Carols in Dandenong Park is a free and traditional carols event for the whole family to enjoy. There will be an exciting stage program, interactive roving performers, free activities, delicious food stalls and a Christmas craft market promising a festive community atmosphere in the park.

From 6pm until 7pm there will be exciting pre-show entertainment including free face painting, roving performers, art and craft activities and free photos with Santa. Stroll through the Christmas craft market and meet local makers while you get an early start on your Christmas gift shopping.

From 7pm, the stage program will feature performances from local schools and church groups, many of which will be accompanied by the Greater Dandenong Band.

Bring your own chairs and picnic blankets and enjoy the wonderful atmosphere while you try food from a selection of delicious food stalls. 

Getting here

If coming by car, there is street parking in Pultney Street and other surrounding streets.

Public transport is highly recommended to avoid getting stuck in traffic. Dandenong Station is a 10-minute walk from Dandenong Park and is on the Pakenham train line. The following bus lines also pass near Dandenong Park: Bus, 828, 844, 892, 893, 981

Toilets, baby changing and quiet place

Toilets and baby changing areas are available in Dandenong Park. There will also be a quiet space marquee set up in the park until 9pm.


ATMs can be found around Dandenong, especially on Lonsdale Street.


There are taps and water fountains in Dandenong Park.
