1000 Books Before School

1000 Books Before School is a state-wide program that encourages parents to share stories with their children from birth to develop literacy skills that will prepare them for reading at school.

Every book counts towards completing your journey, including reading the same book over and over again. Any book counts, not just library books. Keep a record of all the wonderful books shared with your child. Read one book each day and they can reach 1000 before they start school.

Register your child for the program, or for more information phone the library during opening hours on 1300 630 920.
