Library and Information Week (17-23 May) showcases the many resources and services that libraries provide to the community. It aims to promote the value of reading and literacy, the importance of Australia's book industry and the role of libraries.
The theme for Library and Information Week 2021 is Adventures in Space and Time.
Greater Dandenong Libraries invite you to spend some time in our spaces to celebrate reading and literacy by participating in a range of programs.
Don’t miss out on our Libraries After Dark programming featuring a Tea Reading workshop with Annie O’Reilly where you’ll learn about basic principles of cup reading, and a fun and relaxed zine workshop with artist Ashley Ronning using sustainable and recycled materials.
There are also programs for the young ones such as Code Club, Think Tank and an interactive simultaneous storytime where children will be read Philip Bunting’s Give Me Some Space from a real-life astronaut in outer space!
