Dandenong New Art (DNA) Redevelopment
Dandenong New Art (DNA) project will transform the former 1920s Masonic Hall in Mason Street, retaining its striking heritage façade while adding a large contemporary exhibition space.
DNA will provide spaces for touring art exhibitions, curated experiences, community workshops and public programs.
The project has experienced delays due to COVID-19, previous construction issues and nearby works.
Planning for the project has now recommenced with an updated construction methodology and design to meet current requirements.
Council is currently tendering for construction, with a contract expected to be awarded by the end of 2026.
