Work is underway to upgrade the dog off leash area at Fotheringham Reserve in Noble Park. The project will improve the existing dog park through the installation of additional fencing, helping create a safer and more secure space for dogs and their owners.
The fencing upgrade will enhance the functionality of the dog off leash area and support the ongoing recreational needs of the local community. Construction is expected to be completed in December 2026.
Fotheringham Reserve is a popular local open space that provides opportunities for recreation, exercise and outdoor activity for residents and visitors. The reserve's dog off leash area is a valued community asset that allows dogs to exercise and socialise in a dedicated space.
The fencing improvements will help ensure the facility continues to meet community needs now and into the future.
The project includes additional fencing within the existing dog off leash area.
Works will take place within the current dog off leash area adjacent to the EastLink Trail.
Construction is scheduled to begin in October 2026 and is expected to be completed in December 2026, subject to weather conditions, contractor availability and material supply.
Works will generally occur between 7.00am and 5.00pm on weekdays.
During construction, some areas of the dog off leash park may be temporarily affected while new fencing is installed. Council will work to minimise disruptions wherever possible.
These improvements will help provide a safer and more enjoyable environment for dogs and their owners while supporting the long-term use of the reserve.
