In this fun and hands on gardening workshop, children discover why bees are some of the most important helpers in our gardens — and how we can support them. Through a short, interactive introduction, participants learn how bees pollinate plants, why flowers matter, and what makes a garden bee friendly.
Children will then roll up their sleeves to create their own bee friendly seed bombs using air dry clay, soil, and a blend of nectar rich flower seeds. Each child will take home a small pack of seed bombs along with simple planting instructions, encouraging ongoing learning and eco positive action at home.
Perfect for young nature lovers and creative hands, this session blends environmental education with a fun craft activity.
For children aged 5 to 12 years old.
The workshop will take place at Heritage Hill, located at 66 McCrae Street, Dandenong. While you’re there, take the opportunity to explore the beautiful heritage buildings and gardens in the heart of Dandenong.
This program is part of The Secret Life of Gardens exhibition.
