Cultural Sketch is an intimate, artist-led experience where conversation becomes art. Part of an ongoing program supporting creative exchange, it offers artists and audiences a space to share skills, stories and lived experience.
Across the evening, recent Artist in Residence recipient, Giovanni Adams, will speak candidly about their practice—their influences, rituals and realities—while you are invited to respond in your own way through mark making. Sketch the speaker, their favourite objects, the atmosphere, or let the stories guide your hand.
This is not about technical skill. It’s about presence, curiosity and creative process. Whether you draw often or not at all, you’re welcome here.
Designed for adults (18+), Cultural Sketch is a space to listen, create and connect—where inspiration is immediate and expression is yours to define.
Materials will be provided.
Refreshments will be served at this session (this event is for people aged 18+).
This Cultural Sketch is part of Giovanni Adams' Drum Theatre performance on Thursday 12 November at 10.30am.
We Welcome Tolerance, Inclusion, and Respect: Racist, discriminatory, or any other harmful behaviour will not be tolerated at our events.
