For the Get Online Week event, the Springvale Neighbourhood House invites the seniors aged 50 and over to this learning session.
The session will be led by a facilitator who will teach practical digital skills that can help seniors in their everyday lives.
Participants will learn how to use useful mobile apps such as Google Translate to communicate more easily if they have limited English or the person they are communicating has limited English.
Google Maps can assist with travel and navigation, and basic photo editing skills, including how to crop photos, adjust colours and brightness, and enhance images using their mobile phones.
The facilitator will also provide guidance on staying safe online, including tips for recognising scams and protecting personal information.
The event will be held in a fun and relaxed environment over morning tea, providing opportunities for learning, social connection, and building confidence in using digital technology.
