Join Anna, The Urban Nanna, for a hands-on workshop exploring frugal, waste-savvy gardening and creating upcycled items for your garden.
This presentation workshop is about reducing waste in your garden to help grow your own food in an eco-friendly way. We will be talking about different ways to reduce their waste footprint no matter what size the garden.
Attendees will make their own seedling planters by upcycling paper considered as waste, create plant tags using repurposed materials, and plant seeds to take home and kick-start their low-waste garden. Includes a display of useful books and resources, and a follow-up document for participants with links to resources and useful tutorials.
Note: the workshop will take both indoors and outdoors.
This session is recommended for ages 16 and over.
Take time to explore the gardens and discover the beautiful heritage buildings before the workshop begins.
Please bring seeds or seedlings along to swap with other participants after the event.
This program is part of The Secret Life of Gardens exhibition.
