Women Self Defence Course

Women doing some self defence exercises

Join us for a free seven-week Women Self Defence course starting Saturday 26 July at the Snap Fitness Dandenong.

Anne Pang Self Defence will run the program as a community safety initiative to empower women and increase their situational awareness and physical skills.

The program will cover mental strategies, situational awareness, early detection and preventative methods as well as physical techniques of self defence from the Wing Chun style of Kung Fu which is a style of martial arts invented by a woman.

Founded in 1990, Anne Pang empowers women and increase their confidence in everyday situations; self defence is a life skill much like learning swimming or driving. Anne is the only female who has been inducted into the Blitz Magazine Hall of Fame for Women Self Defence and recently she won the Martial Arts Australia Master Award for Kung Fu in 2023. Anne has been teaching at major universities, secondary colleges, corporates and community groups for the past 35 years and now her Self Defence Academy is a social enterprise, especially helping women of ethnic backgrounds, migrants and refugees. She will be taking this course with her highly skilled team of enthusiastic instructors who are caring and professional.

Snap Fitness Dandenong is offering this excellent program for the local women. It is a rare opportunity to learn this blend of mindset and physical techniques in a well equipped gymnasium taught by the some of the most qualified instructors. Normally priced at $280, this session is local residents.

The program will run from seven weeks, every Saturday from 26 July - 6 September from 10am to 12pm.

Tea and coffee will be available afterwards for women to network.
