Total budget: $1.39 million

Funding: Fully funded by the Victorian Government in partnership with the Transport Accident Commission. 

Council delivered improved pedestrian safety and accessibility at the Dandenong Market by replacing the existing pedestrian crossings at Cleeland Street and Clow Street with raised crossings and speed cushions.  

The changes were designed to:  

  • Slow down vehicle traffic, making it safer for pedestrians to cross  
  • Improve visibility between drivers and pedestrians  
  • Enhance accessibility for people of all ages and abilities  
  • Support a more walkable, people-friendly environment.  

The project was funded by the Victorian Government in partnership with the Transport Accident Commission.
