Join us for two engaging and fun water safety sessions designed specifically for older adults. The first session will be classroom based (dry) and the second session will be in the water (wet).
Dry Session - Tuesday 6 October
A relaxed and informative session designed specifically for older adults. Learn about staying safe around waterways, choosing and fitting lifejackets correctly, recognising hazards, and understanding strategies to reduce risks while boating, fishing, walking, or enjoying time near water.
Wet Session - Thursday 8 October
Build on your floating, treading water, and personal survival skills. Participants will also explore how lifejackets can assist in emergency situations and how to remain calm and conserve energy in the water. Swimwear will be required.
It is highly encouraged that you attend both sessions.
This program is designed for people from refugee, migrant and multicultural backgrounds aged 65 years or older.
If you require additional assistance to participate, please get in contact with us.
