Build your Creative Edge 2.0

Take your creative projects from idea to funding-ready in this full-day professional development workshop for artists and creatives.

Led by industry consultant Gareth Hart, this intensive session explores project planning, proposal writing, budgeting, funding opportunities and how to effectively communicate the purpose and impact of your creative practice. 

Participants will learn how to align projects with funding priorities and strengthen creative development and project delivery.

This event is designed for ages 16+.

Date: Saturday 21 November

Time: 10am-4pm. Please arrive early for a prompt 10am start.

• A creative project concept to develop
• Device/paper for taking notes 

Getting there and accessibility:

• Venue: Dandenong Civic Centre, 225 Lonsdale Street, Dandenong. The event will be held in the Council Chambers, Level 2.  Stairs and lifts are available from Level 1, Lonsdale Street, Dandenong.
• Public Transport: The venue is approximately 400 metres from Dandenong Train Station.
• Car Parking: All-day paid parking is available at Thomas Street Multi-deck Car Park and Walker Street Multi-deck Car Park.  Please note: Street parking is Two hours only.  We recommend using the all-day car parks to avoid parking fines.
• Accessibility: Step-free access is via Harmony Square from Walker and Thomas Streets, or via the lift from Level 1 on Lonsdale Street. Accessible toilets and accessible seating are available. If you require any additional adjustments, please contact us before the event.

About the facilitator:

Industry expert and consultant, Gareth Hart, brings decades of knowledge and experience to the facilitation of this program. They have led organisations and initiatives that bridge local contexts with sector-wide trends, delivered ambitious programs that combined community engagement with artistic excellence, and directed live art festivals. Gareth brings clarity, ambition, and a belief in the transformative potential of the arts.
