Cultural Sketch is an intimate, artist-led experience where conversation becomes responsive art. Part of an ongoing program supporting creative exchange, it offers artists and audiences a space to share skills, stories and lived experience.
Across the evening, artists Annalouise Paul will speak candidly about her practice—her influences, rituals and realities—while you are invited to respond in your own way. Sketch the speaker, their favourite objects, the atmosphere, or let the stories guide your hand.
This is not about technical skill. It’s about presence, curiosity and creative instinct. Whether you draw often or not at all, you’re welcome here.
Designed for adults (18+), Cultural Sketch is a space to listen, create and connect—where inspiration is immediate and expression is yours to define.
Materials will be provided.
Refreshments will be served at this session (this event is for people aged 18+).
Cultural Sketch is part of the public program for Unchartered Waters: The Journey of Mother Tongue.
We Welcome Tolerance, Inclusion, and Respect: Racist, discriminatory, or any other harmful behaviour will not be tolerated at our events.
Cultural Sketch is part of the creative RISE programs: a series which offers our arts community opportunities to gain skills, pass on knowledge and share experiences.
