Celebrate National Science Week with a memorable after-dark adventure for the whole family at Alex Wilkie Nature Reserve.
As daylight fades, we'll head into the reserve to explore the fascinating world of nocturnal wildlife and discover what happens in nature after sunset. Guided by curiosity and the glow of our red-light torches, families will learn about the amazing adaptations that help animals thrive at night, investigate habitats and ecosystems, and experience the reserve from a completely different perspective.
A special highlight of the evening will be an up-close encounter with a selection of live nocturnal animals presented by Black Snake Productions. Meet some of Australia's remarkable night-time creatures and learn about their behaviours, adaptations and important role in our environment.
