Dandenong Library is an important community facility where people come to learn, study, access services and take part in programs.
From mid-October 2026 we are making improvements to Dandenong Library to make this much-loved community facility more welcoming and easier for everyone to use. The work is expected to be completed by the end of December 2026.
The improvements include a new parents' room for families and carers with young children, a new private multi-faith room for prayer and reflection, and additional study areas for focused learning and reading.
Dandenong Library is expected to remain open during construction, but short one-day closures may be needed. Some areas and services may also be temporarily affected.
