Greater Dandenong Council is undertaking landscape improvement works to the Hemmings Street car park.
The project is supported through funding from the Office of Suburban Development in the Department of Jobs, Precincts, and Regions (DJPR).
This project is the next stage of the streetscape improvement works to the Hemmings Street Shopping Centre.
The project includes:
- New tree planting within the carpark to increase the canopy cover and to provide more shade
- A new 'parklet' with feature paving and landscaping
- New garden bed areas with low shrubs and ground covers to improve the visual amenity
- Additional tree planting to Marion Street and Wilma Avenue.
