Heritage Hill building and gardens

Join us on Thursday 20 August for a special one‑day community event, held alongside the Extraordinary Stories exhibition.

This is your chance to explore the stories that matter most to our community and help guide the future collecting priorities for the Civic and Cultural Heritage Collection.

Drop in throughout the day for hands‑on activities, conversations, creative stations and story‑sharing sessions. Tell us what’s missing, what should be preserved, and what stories future generations need to know.

Whether you’re a long‑time resident, newly arrived, young person, community leader or simply curious — your voice will help shape how Greater Dandenong’s heritage is collected, shared and remembered.

Be part of the story. Be part of the future.

Sessions

  • 10am–12pm — Community Conversation Workshop (Open session)
  • 12pm–2pm — Drop-In Activities + Pop-Up Booth (Open Session)
  • 2pm–3pm — Focused Partner Session (Invitation Only)
  • 3pm–4pm — Youth Advisory Mini-Lab (Invitation Only)

Please note: We warmly welcome visitors with disabilities and assistance dogs. While the historic houses offer some degree of accessibility, there are uneven paths and steps throughout the gardens that may be difficult for those with wheelchairs, mobility aids and strollers. Please speak with staff for assistance during your visit.

Free event. Registrations needed.
