Keneally Street Reserve - New Dog Off-Leash Area

Greater Dandenong City Council is developing a new dog off-leash area at Keneally Street Reserve, Dandenong.

Council’s Greater Dandenong Dog Off-Leash Strategy 2019 identified that this area of Dandenong does not have an off-leash area for the community to exercise their dogs. The new dog off-leash area at Keneally Street Reserve will improve accessibility for residents and provide a great opportunity for dogs (and their owners) to get regular exercise and socialisation.

Activating this under-utilised part of the reserve along the Dandenong Creek with an off-leash area will play an important role in making the area feel more accessible, as there will be more people out and about walking and exercising their dogs.

Works will be completed by 30 June 2024.

The dog off-leash area will include:

  • a fence and gate at the Steven St entrance
  • fencing to the perimeter of the dog off-leash area
  • off-leash dog park rules signage
  • picnic table and park seat
  • drinking fountain with dog bowl
  • new trees.
