Council will be constructing a footpath along the south side of Fowler Road in Dandenong South, between South Gippsland Highway and the Eumemmerring Creek Bridge.
Once complete this footpath will provide a pedestrian connection from South Gippsland Highway to Nathan Road.
This footpath is funded by the Level Crossing Removal Project as part of the Progress Street Level Crossing Removal.

Construction is anticipated to commence in late October/early November and be completed by the end of 2025.

Pedestrian access will be maintained throughout the works as part of the traffic management requirements. Pedestrian will need to follow signage and traffic controller directions to move around the current section of works.

Changes to the design may be made during construction based on contractor and community feedback.
A number of properties will have their driveway access impacted during these works. The contractor will contact any impacted properties to discuss the changes and work with them to minimise the impacts.
