A new informal recreation area is planned for Frederick Wachter Reserve in Keysborough. The recreation space will be located near the existing playground.
This project is part of the Frederick Wachter Reserve Master Plan.
The initial ideas include:
- Multi-purpose court area
- basketball and futsal court
- practice netball goals
- hoops at different heights
- a large shelter
- seating areas
- Picnic and BBQ area
- Pump track
- Hit up wall with multiple sports markings, such as tennis and a cricket wicket
- Rock climbing structure.
Feedback from people who attended Keysborough's Big Picnic on Sunday 24 March 2024 was used to update the draft concept plan.
