Keysborough’s Big Picnic is the City of Greater Dandenong’s only pet friendly community event, welcoming people and their furry companions for a relaxed day in the park.
The 2026 event was held on Sunday 29 March at Frederick Wachter Reserve. The park was full of families, friends and pets enjoying the warm weather, live entertainment and a range of free activities and sports. There were dog agility demonstrations, lawn games, food stalls, and quiet corners where people could sit with their pets and enjoy the music. Community groups were also on-site sharing information and chatting with visitors throughout the day.
It was wonderful to see so many people and pets spending time together, meeting others and enjoying the atmosphere.
