A vibrant celebration of South-East Asian flavours, cultural performances, family fun and a cooking demonstration by celebrity Chef, Vincent Lim (Dimsimlim).

Step into a world of flavour and celebration at Dandenong Market’s Lunar New Year Festival, returning on Sunday 22 February from 10am–3pm. This one-day, family-friendly event is your chance to welcome the Year of the Fire Horse with the best of South-East Asian food, live entertainment, and a buzzing community atmosphere in the heart of Dandenong.

This year’s Lunar New Year event will transform the Market into a feast for the senses. From delicious baos and sizzling grills to colourful desserts and irresistible street snacks, it’s a delicious opportunity to experience the incredible diversity of South-East Asian cuisine in one vibrant location.

Food lovers are in for a major treat this year. We’re welcoming celebrity chef Vincent Lim — better known as Dim Sim Lim, The Wolf of Wok Street for two live cooking demonstrations from 11.30am–12pm and 1pm–1.30pm. Known for his bold culinary personality and viral South-East Asian creations, Vincent will bring his signature energy to the Market in a one-hour showcase packed with flavour inspiration, wok‑tossing magic and crowd‑pleasing fun. It’s the perfect highlight for anyone who loves food, cooking, or Asian street‑food culture. You will also have the opportunity to purchase his Cookbook and renowned YumYum seasoning.

Lunar New Year is more than just incredible food, it’s a full cultural celebration. Enjoy a vibrant program of performances including:

  • DJ Hypnotist keeping the atmosphere high (throughout the day)
  • Live performance from singer Minhy (10.30am-11.15am)
