Craft activities coloured paper, pencils and scissors

Bring the whole family and enjoy a series of hands‑on drop‑in activities inspired by the Extraordinary Stories: Collection Highlights exhibition.

Designed for children of all ages, these short creative sessions invite young visitors to explore identity, place and community in fun and imaginative ways.

The Listen and Draw Corner pairs oral histories with drawing time, perfect for sensory and multilingual learners. Budding detectives can join the Extraordinary Object Detective trail, using clue cards to uncover stories hidden in the exhibition. Finally, the What Makes a Community?

The Voting Wall encourages children to vote for what matters most—family, creativity, sport, food, caring and more.

All activities are self‑guided, quick, and free to enjoy.

Families and children up to 12 years old.
