Did you know that unintentional injuries are one of the leading causes of death and hospitalisation for Australian children?
Learning how to prevent these incidents and administer first aid for your family if an emergency does arise is important for everyone.
Emergcare in collaboration with Kidsafe Victoria will be delivering a free Paediatric First Aid course to parents, carers, grandparents and anyone involved in the care of young children. This initiative is funded by Greater Dandenong City Council.
As part of the 3-hour course, attendees will be guided through an interactive and engaging paediatric first aid training session that includes practical injury prevention education, how to perform CPR on infants and children, and manage some of the most common child first aid emergencies, including choking, burns, drowning, fractures, bleeding, allergies (e.g. anaphylaxis) and poisoning.
A digital resource pack will also be sent to participants following the session which will include up to date information on a range of child injury topics, a variety of Kidsafe resources and programs, along with an overview of first aid strategies.
This course is limited to 40 spots. Registrations are required.
