As part of the lead-up to the Sustainability Festival, the Springvale Community Hub will be hosting a Mini Sustainability Festival on Saturday 14 March from 11am to 3pm.
This event complements the Council's Sustainability Festival and aligns with our regular bi-monthly Clothes Swap and Urban Harvest programs.
Activities on the day will include:
- Workshop 1: Collage Art: 11am-12.30pm
- Craft with recycled materials. All welcome, children under 10 must be supervised.
- Roving Refills: 11am-2pm
- Refills of natural shampoos, hand wash, detergents and cleaning products.
- Come and Try Makerspace: 11am-3pm
- Visible mending, patching, and playful reconstruction techniques - and try out our band new sewing machines.
- Clothes Swap: 11am-3pm
- Swap up to 10 clean items such as shoes, clothes and accessories.
- Urban Harvest: 11am-3pm
- Swap homegrown produce, seeds, gardening tips and more.
- Preloved Book Give Away: 11am-3pm
- Help rehome preloved books to make room for new ones in our library.
- Workshop 2: Draft Stopper: 1.30pm-3.30pm (registrations required)
- Free sewing workshop to make door draft stoppers. Register for this event.
