Mini Sustainability Festival

As part of the lead-up to the Sustainability Festival, the Springvale Community Hub will be hosting a Mini Sustainability Festival on Saturday 14 March from 11am to 3pm.

This event complements the Council's Sustainability Festival and aligns with our regular bi-monthly Clothes Swap and Urban Harvest programs.

Visitors to the Mini Sustainability Festival will have the chance to win exciting eco‑friendly door prizes throughout the day.

Activities on the day will include:

  • Workshop 1: Collage Art: 11am-12.30pm
    • Craft with recycled materials. All welcome, children under 10 must be supervised.
  • Roving Refills: 11am-2pm
    • Refills of natural shampoos, hand wash, detergents and cleaning products.
  • Come and Try Makerspace: 11am-3pm
    • Visible mending, patching, and playful reconstruction techniques - and try out our band new sewing machines.
  • Clothes Swap: 11am-3pm
    • Swap up to 10 clean items such as shoes, clothes and accessories.
  • Urban Harvest: 11am-3pm
    • Swap homegrown produce, seeds, gardening tips and more.
  • Preloved Book Give Away: 11am-3pm
    • Help rehome preloved books to make room for new ones in our library.
  • Workshop 2: Draft Stopper: 1.30pm-3.30pm (registrations required)
