Our Beat returns for its first creative celebration of 2026. This free youth focused event is supported by Greater Dandenong City Council and invites emerging musicians, rappers, dancers and spoken word artists to perform, collaborate and connect with the community.
By transforming Hemmings Park Skatepark into a vibrant and inclusive creative hub, Our Beat celebrates the energy and diversity of Dandenong’s young people while building artistic confidence, new networks and public engagement.
Young people aged 14 to 25 are invited to take part in hands on workshops, open mic sessions and live performances across the afternoon.
Open mic and live performances will take place across the afternoon, from 4pm to 7pm.
Workshops will run from 2.30pm to 4pm and include beatmaking, MPC and DJ sessions. A live art workshop will also be presented by @artbytdr.
Participation is free and registration is encouraged.
