Bring the family and join us on National Tree Day weekend to plant some seedlings at Tirhatuan Park.
National Tree Day is a call-to-action for Australians to unite and give back to the community and the land on which they live. So far nearly 26 million trees have been planted by around five million people in aid of National Tree Day.
There will be plenty to do on the day with a Welcome to Country and Smoking Ceremony by Traditional Custodians from the Bunurong Land Council Aboriginal Corporation, wildlife presentations, planting activities, a free barbecue lunch and native plant giveaways.
Remember to wear warm clothes and footwear suitable for uneven and muddy ground that you won't mind getting dirty. Bring drinking water, a pair of gloves and a hand towel to wipe your hands with.
