Join us to celebrate National Tree Day at Somerfield Reserve.
National Tree Day is a call-to-action for Australians to unite and give back to the community and the land on which they live. So far nearly 26 million trees have been planted by around 5 million people in aid of National Tree Day.
There will be plenty to do on the day with a Welcome to Country and Smoking Ceremony by Traditional Custodians from the Bunurong Land Council Aboriginal Corporation, planting activities, native plant giveaways, a wildlife presentation, a free barbecue lunch and more.
Attendees will need to bring their own gloves and wear warm clothes and footwear suitable for uneven and muddy ground that you won't mind getting dirty. This is a low-waste event so please bring your own drinking water bottle and a hand towel to wipe your hands with.
Sunday 27 July, 10am-1pm
