Council sought feedback from the community which helped shape the design for the new playground and park improvements at Turner Close Reserve in Springvale.
There was strong support to develop a new local playground to improve access to playgrounds in this area of Springvale.
The playground has been designed to encourage active, challenging, imaginative and social play.
The concept plan is aligned with:
- the allocated budget
- a Local level playground.
The key elements of the playground are:
- a new play unit including monkey bars, rock climbing wall, floating steppers, rope bridge, tunnel, double slide, junior slide and activity panels
- swings
- see-saw
- rockers.
Additional improvements include seats, picnic table setting, fencing, paths and new trees for shade.
