YourGround is a collaboration between XYX Lab and CrowdSpot to crowdsource women and gender-diverse people’s perceptions of safety in public space across Victoria.
The YourGround interactive map allows you to anonymously drop a pin, tell a story or share an experience about your feelings of safety while using public space – whether for leisure, sport, exercise or play. When collated and analysed, the data will provide insights into where and how we can make our cities and towns, parks and community spaces more accessible, inclusive and equitable.
YourGround is a proactive tool to help make positive change in our shared public spaces – spaces that should be freely accessible to everyone. When collated and analysed, this data will provide insights that can make our cities, our towns, parks and community spaces more inclusive and equitable.
YourGround map is accessible across Victoria and open to anyone over 18 years identifying as a woman or gender diverse. Those under 18 years can participate with the support of an adult.
