Join us to experience Australia’s largest and most renowned traditional nativity scene, now in its 22nd year, at St. Elizabeth’s Parish. The Australian Nativity Scene (ANS) has become a cherished tradition, growing each year and earning recognition as one of the finest nativity displays in the country.
This free event is open to all ages, offering a magical experience for families, friends, parishioners, and visitors alike.
Wilson Fernandez, the designer, creator, and artist behind this annual masterpiece, has crafted a scene that captivates the community year after year. The ANS is now the largest nativity scene of its kind in Australia. Wilson has meticulously designed a village that includes handmade huts, stables, buildings, bridges, palaces, houses, and temples, all surrounded by mountains, rocks, lakes, and rivers.
Each week, the nativity scene beautifully conveys the story of Christmas. Visitors flock from near and far to witness this timeless tradition.
The display follows the journey of the nativity story, beginning with Mary and Joseph’s search for shelter, followed by the birth of Jesus, the visit from the shepherds, the three kings, and culminating with the holy family’s flight to Egypt.
