This year marks a special milestone – the 20th anniversary of the Southern Metropolitan Cemeteries Trust Children's Remembrance Service. We are honoured to host this meaningful event again on Sunday 7 December. It’s a way for our community to come together, pause for a moment, reflect and remember the children who are no longer with us.

For many families, attending this service has become a cherished tradition to commemorate their beloved children. For others, it may be your first time joining us and we warmly welcome you. We hope the service offers comfort, connection and a space for you to honour the memories of your children.

A highlight of the service is the recalling of the star ‘Eternal Light’, named in memory of all the babies and children we’ve remembered every year since the first service in 2005. This star stands as a symbol of unwavering love, comfort and joy. It shines brightly in our night sky today and will continue to do so for the days, years, and generations that follow. We hope it serves as a reminder that throughout the grief process, you are not alone. We look forward to sharing this special 20th year with you.

If you require additional assistance to participate, please get in contact with us.
