Art, Memory and Desire: HOME 25 Forum

99
Three women with painted faces

Explore the personal, political, and poetic dimensions of ‘home’ at this dynamic public forum featuring artists from HOME 25: Invisible Cities, alongside local leaders, activists and thinkers.

Through three interconnected parts—Art, Memory and Desire—the forum offers space for critical reflection and imaginative possibility.

Part One: Art

Begin with the artists. Hear directly from those whose creative practice speaks to lived experiences of place, displacement and belonging.

Part Two: Memory

Dive into fast-paced PechaKucha presentations and a moderated group scenario, exploring how memory shapes identity and community—locally and globally.

Part Three: Desire

Imagine the futures we want. What might cultural life look like in a changing world? Consider creative responses to migration, climate crisis, and collective resilience through speculative storytelling and collaborative visioning.

Join us for a day of shared insight, bold ideas and radical imagination.

Art, Memory and Desire: HOME 25 Forum is part of the public program for HOME 25: Invisible Cities, a roving exhibition now showing across the streets and sites of Dandenong.
