Come along to Keysborough's Big Picnic on Sunday 29 March from 11am to 4pm and have fun in the park with family and friends at Frederick Wachter Reserve.
There will be free activities for all ages, including;

Bring your picnic blankets, chairs and picnic baskets and spend the day relaxing in the park.
Annual Easter Egg Hunt
Our annual Easter Egg Hunt, sponsored by Parkmore Shopping Centre, returns with a fun twist. Register your children at the Egg Hunt Registration tent before searching for clues located across Wachter Reserve, follow the directions to find your secret word and bring this word back to the Egg Hunt Registration tent to receive your chocolatey prize.
The Easter Egg Hunt will take place at the following times:
- 11.30am
- 12.30pm
- 1.30pm
- 2.30pm
Spaces are limited allocated on a first come, first served basis. One entry per child or young person.
Pet Competition
Bring your pet along and compete for some amazing prizes in the Pet Competition sponsored by Bendigo Community Bank, Dingley Village.
Make your furry, feathered or scaled friend the star of the show and sign up on the day to enter into the following categories:
- Best Dressed Pet
- Top Trickster
- Cutest Pet
- Friendliest Pet
Registration is open from 11am-1pm on the day of the event. The competition will begin at 1.30pm.

Make Your Move sports zone
Come along and Make Your Move in our dedicated sports zone where there will be free Come and Try activities on offer from a range of local sports clubs.
Food and market stalls
There will be lots of delicious food on offer to purchase from food stalls and trucks popping up in the park so you can try some new tastes.
Getting there
The event is at Frederick Wachter Reserve off Kingsclere Avenue in Keysborough opposite Parkmore Shopping Centre. Free parking is available around the reserve and at Parkmore Shopping Centre. Please note that the Keysborough Tennis Club carpark will be closed to the public.
There are a range of buses that stop at Parkmore Shopping Centre:
- 812 - Dandenong - Brighton
- 813 - Dandenong - Mulgrave
- 815 - Dandenong - Noble Park
- 824 - Moorabbin - Keysborough (via Clayton and Westall)
- 828 - Hampton - Berwick Railway Station (via Dandenong)
Facilities and accessibility
Water, toilets, baby changing and quiet space
Bring along your reusable water bottle and fill up at the hydration station on the event site.
Toilets and baby changing areas are also available.
There will be a Quiet Space tent that is a designated area where people can retreat to when feeling overstimulated or for prayer.
ATMs - Many stalls will have cashless card payment set up. You can also access ATMs close by at Parkmore Shopping Centre.
