The existing athletics track and field has reached the end of its service life and requires full replacement.
Council will commence construction of the redeveloped track and field to provide, upon completion, a new athletics facility which meets the World Athletics (Certificate II) Standard. This will allow this regional facility to be able to accommodate regional and some state athletics competitions.
