Cultural Sketch

Group of people holding artwork

You don’t need to be a visual artist to enjoy an evening of Cultural Sketching, just bring your enthusiasm, interest and willingness to have a go.

Join us to hear from and sketch the amazing artist Moon Girle. They will be our presenter and will share their story, creative interests, arts practice, favourite music and other aspects that make up their creative world as they strike a pose for you to draw.

During the evening, the audience is encouraged to sketch and draw our presenter and their favourite objects in response to their story. Participants will also be treated to a private tour of Moon Girle's A Tra$hy Dreamland exhibition, currently on display at Walker Street Gallery and Arts Centre.

This event is for people aged 18+.

Each month a member of our arts community is our presenter and model for an untutored immersive Cultural Sketch experience. Network with your creative peers, make your mark and learn more about our local arts community.

Materials will be provided.

Refreshments and alcohol will be served at this session.

Cultural Sketch is part of the creative RISE programs, a series which offers our arts community opportunities to gain skills, pass on knowledge and share experiences.
