Join us to celebrate the Australian premiere of Ibrahim Ahmed’s evocative new exhibition, Amidst the Absence, A Present is Felt.

Experience an evening of art, shared food and stories as we gather to explore absence, identity and quiet resistance.

Here’s what’s in store:

  • Artist in Conversation
Artist Ibrahim Ahmed in dialogue with curator Miriam La Rosa
  • Performance
An excerpt from 'Lying Down in Public Places' by Gareth Hart
  • DJ Set
Sandee. City girl from Cairo playing Afro house, Neo-Soul, Middle Eastern beats.
  • Food and Flavour
    Shared refreshments by Afro Cafe

Come for the art, stay for the conversation — and let the night unfold in stories, sound and shared presence.
