Bridging Now To Next, is this year's theme for Reconciliation Week.
City of Greater Dandenong invites all businesses and organisations across the municipality, along with community to mark and celebrate the beginning of National Reconciliation Week Council wide activities.
Bunurong Land Council will welcome all onto country and take us through traditional ceremonial smoking ceremony, before our Mayor Jim Memeti and Bunurong Elder- raise the Harmony Square flags together.
After the flag raising and traditional ceremonial dance, attendees will be invited into Dandenong Library to contribute to a piece of art being facilitated by N’Dene Riley.
N’Dene is a local First Nations artist and will be working on canvas with the community throughout the week, with the finished project to be put on display.
