Reclink Australia is funded by Sports and Recreation Victoria to provide the Access for All Abilities program (AAA Play), to act as the first point of contact for people with disabilities looking for sporting opportunities within the metropolitan area.
Access for All Abilities (AAA Play) is a free information and referral service to assist Melbourne people of all ages with a disability to become involved in sport and active recreation. With personal assistance from AAA Play, residents can access new sports and active recreation activities that are close to their home and available for people of all abilities.
The program has helped grow inclusive sports and recreation for people with a disability for more than ten years, and up to now has funded over thirty community and sporting organisations, including blind sports, basketball, baseball, lawn bowls, sailing and balloon football.
Being physically active and participating in organised sport has proven to be great for making new friends, being a part of a team or club, getting healthy, achieving personal goals and having fun. Regardless of ability, AAA Play ensures that every person, regardless of ability, has an opportunity to participate in sports and recreation in their community.
