Under the requirements of the Local Government Act 2020, Council adopted its first Governance Rules on 24 August 2020. These Rules replaced Council’s former Meeting Procedure Local Law in setting out procedures for the conduct of Council Meetings as well as containing Council’s Election Period (Caretaker) Policy. On 22 August 2022, Council endorsed mandatory legislative changes to the Governance Rules to provide for meetings to be held virtually (or remotely).
