A public art installation depicting three large community lanterns brighten up Copas Park.
These curious, playful and enticing structures are creatures housing an ever-changing gallery of small artworks. They are imagined beings made only to be filled with the imagination of others.
These unique public art sculptures, which were unveiled in December 2023, have been refurbished with a new colourful look to embrace some seasonal colour and are a magnificent site to see.
They protect, illuminate and showcase the creativity of the community, for the community. Their hand-crafted legs bring unique personalities, while their bodies are open and transparent, ready to be filled with new ideas, inspirations and creations. Visit them often and discover what new stories they may have to share with you. We are looking forward to displaying some local history in the community lanterns.
Look closely at the lantern inserts, their illustrations feature the places, people and cuisines that makes Noble Park so special.
This 360-degree, solar powered exhibition offers residents and visitors the opportunity to enjoy public art in an innovative art presentation. Check it out at night too, as they light up after dark, just like a real lantern.

Celebrate Noble Park by Ching Ching Lee (July 2024 to current)
Step into the glow of creativity with Celebrate Noble Park, a vibrant art installation by local artist Ching Ching Lee, lighting up the beloved Pudding Lanterns in the heart of Noble Park.
We’ve taken a fresh and playful approach to this lantern artwork, with each pudding bursting with colour, character, and community spirit. The themes reflect what makes Noble Park so special, from its rich cultural life to its hidden gems and tasty treats.

Inspired by the energy of Perform and Play in Our Street, this lantern celebrates Noble Park’s creative heartbeat, music, dance, performance, and artistic expression in all its joyful forms.
- Pudding 2: Food and Treats
A delicious tribute to Noble Park’s diverse food scene! From bubble tea and bánh mì to hot bread and noodles, this lantern is a feast for the eyes and a nod to the flavours that bring us together.
- Pudding 3: Special Places
This lantern invites you to discover Noble Park’s hidden treasures, the places off the beaten path that locals love.
Our Street, Our Stories by Local Young Artists (December 2023 to June 2024)
We invited local Noble Park schools and kindergartens to take part in something truly special - the very first exhibition inside the Pudding Lanterns, our brand-new public art installation.
Students were asked to create A5 artworks that express what they feel when they think about Our Street, Noble Park. The response was incredible — over 500 heartfelt and imaginative drawings were created in classrooms across the community.
To make sure every child could participate, Council provided translucent and transparent paper, Sharpies, and other materials to schools at no cost. These beautiful pieces were illuminated and displayed inside the Pudding Lanterns, launching in mid-December as part of our vibrant public art program.
