Supporting volunteering in Greater Dandenong
Greater Dandenong City Council proudly funds and supports Volunteer Plus - previously known as the Greater Dandenong Volunteer Resource Service (GDVRS).
Council's ongoing investment in this program helps local volunteers and community organisations access the support, connections and opportunities that strengthen our vibrant and diverse city.
Delivered by Dandenong Community and Learning Centre (DCLC), Volunteer Plus connects local people with meaningful volunteering opportunities and assists community and non-profit organisations to recruit, engage and retain volunteers.

Service Transition
The Greater Dandenong Volunteer Resource Service (GDVRS) has recently transitioned to a new provider and is now known as Volunteer Plus.
From October 2026, this service will be delivered by Dandenong Community and Learning Centre (DCLC), continuing its important role in supporting volunteering, strengthening connections and creating opportunities across Greater Dandenong.
We thank South East Volunteers (SEV) for their dedication in delivering this service from 2015 to September 2026. Their commitment to connecting volunteers with meaningful opportunities has made a lasting contribution to community life.
