Greater Dandenong Volunteer Resource Service (GDVRS)

The Greater Dandenong Volunteer Resource Service (GDVRS) established in 2015, is a joint initiative between the City of Greater Dandenong and South East Volunteers. South East Volunteers have been supporting communities since 1985 and each year more than 1800 volunteers are placed in over 450 community service organisations.

Operating five days per week, GDVRS offers numerous services including:

  • Connecting locals with volunteering opportunities
  • Helping community organisations to recruit volunteers
  • Providing regular training sessions for volunteers
  • Providing information, training, support and resources to Volunteer Managers and Coordinators.

In order to be COVID-safe, they have suspended all face to face services and are offering volunteers phone or online interviews and training in order to successfully place them with an organisation. Training for Volunteer Managers and Coordinators are currently offered online.

To schedule a time to discuss volunteer opportunities with the GDVRS, please telephone South East Volunteers on 9562 0414.
