For the first time, water stretches across the full length of the future 50-metre pool at Oasis Aquatics and Wellbeing.
It is the clearest look yet at the pool that will become a new home for morning laps, aqua runs, swim lessons, squads, family swims, and friendships and connections formed between the lanes.
Now holding approximately 1.3 million litres of water, the pool is starting to feel very real, with hydrostatic testing underway to confirm it is ready for tiling and the next stages of construction.
South East Leisure’s Board and leadership team saw the milestone firsthand during a site visit on 22 July, getting an early look at the pool taking shape.
There is still plenty of work ahead before the first lap is swum, but this is one major milestone off the starting blocks.
