There are exciting changes taking shape across Springvale, with recent projects enhancing public spaces, upgrading community facilities and strengthening the area's appeal for residents and visitors.
A major recent milestone is an improvement of the Number 8 Balmoral Avenue Multi-deck Car Park precinct. A vibrant new mural on the side of the multi-deck car park is visible from Springvale Road. It helps draw people through to Buckingham Avenue. The creative streetscape design is supported by patterns on key light poles and bins, along with neons that bring colour and character to the area, particularly at night.
The project also includes laneway pavement artwork to help slow traffic and create a safer, more pedestrian friendly environment.
These improvements form part of the Springvale Revitalisation Action Plan, which aims to enhance the town centre experience, support local businesses and encourage more people to visit and spend time in the area.
At Greater Dandenong City Council, we are investing in local sporting infrastructure. Springvale Reserve pavilion has been upgraded, including improvements to the shared social room, new male and female toilets and a fully accessible toilet. These works have created more welcoming and accessible facilities for players, volunteers and visitors and will support the growing participation of women and girls in local sport.
These projects demonstrate Council's commitment to creating vibrant public spaces and quality community facilities that can be enjoyed by residents for years to come.
