Dandy's Got Talent

Greater Dandenong Youth and Family Services is excited to present Dandy’s Got Talent 2026 - a youth led competition and celebration of community talent.

Council invites young people aged 12-25, and their friends and family, to watch young performers from across Greater Dandenong take the stage.

Event Details:

  • Date: Thursday 9 July 2026
  • Time: 2.30pm - 7pm (doors open 2pm)
  • Location: The Castle, 61 Princes Highway, Dandenong
  • Price: $5 Earlybird ticket, $10 On the door

This year’s showcase is shaping up to be the most exciting yet, featuring a headline performance by Hailey J from The Voice Australia, alongside an impressive lineup of emerging local artists selected through a competitive audition process.

Talented young performers will showcase their abilities for the opportunity to be recognised across a range of categories, including singer-songwriters, cover artists, dancers and bands.

Winners and runners-up in each category will receive prizes generously provided by the event’s sponsors: DJ City, The Band Booth, RIDDIM Studios and Sky Music.

Greater Dandenong Mayor, Councillor Sophie Tan, said Dandy’s Got Talent is a highlight in the City’s youth events calendar.

“Dandy’s Got Talent is a fantastic opportunity for young people to express themselves, build confidence and showcase their creativity,” Mayor Tan said.

“We are proud to support events like this that help strengthen connections across our community.”

Audiences can also expect:

  • Industry professional guest judges offering feedback and encouragement
  • Free BBQ, popcorn and fairy floss
  • A welcoming, fun, fully supervised, drug, smoke and alcohol free environment
  • A dedicated chill-out space for low sensory activities

Dandy’s Got Talent is proudly by young people, for young people. The event has been codesigned and will be delivered with the support of the Amplify Youth Committee (formerly FReeZA), whose members will play an active role across staging, backstage coordination, hospitality and audience engagement.

Amplify is a Victorian Government initiative that supports young Victorians to get involved in their community by planning and running drug, alcohol, and smoke-free events for other young people.
