Greater Dandenong City Council is giving residents the opportunity to have their say on how their rates are spent as part of our 2026-27 budget process.
A community feedback session will be held in December to identify initiatives that can be considered for inclusion in the budget before it is drafted.
Deputy Mayor Councillor Sophie Tan said it was important to hear from a wide variety of community members, organisations, interest groups and sporting clubs to ensure broad community representation.
“In 2024, we undertook many consultation activities with our community to better understand your priorities and where we should focus our service delivery and spending for the next four years,” Cr Tan said.
“With these priorities in mind, and our 10 Year Asset Plan commitments we have started the annual budget process and want to hear more about what services and facilities are important to you and where you would like us to focus our spending.”
There are several ways to get involved including online submissions, a survey and hard copy forms.
